Chapter One · The Beginning

Every legacy has a first day.

This is ours. A female-first vision for sport, community, family life, education and opportunity in Warwickshire — beginning with rugby, built to grow, and intended to last.

Warwickshire, England · 2026—
The idea

Start differently.

If we want different outcomes for women and girls in sport, we should be willing to design the environment differently from the beginning.

The Warwickshire Valkyries Foundation vision brings sport together with family life, education, wellbeing, community, volunteering and opportunity. The ambition is not simply to create somewhere to play. It is to create somewhere people belong.

That journey begins with a first home, a first pitch and a first community of people prepared to believe in what comes next.

Illustrative concept
The first home

Valkyries House.

A sporting home designed around the whole life of the athlete.

Valkyries House is conceived as the first major physical home of the Foundation: community, hospitality, learning, family support and sporting performance brought together beside the first championship-standard pitch.

The first hundred

There will only ever be one first hundred.

The Founding 100 is the original community of organisations and individuals invited to help move the Foundation from vision towards delivery.

Recognition is being designed around legacy, not temporary advertising: the Founders’ Wall, Founders’ Book, individual profiles and the Foundation Time Capsule.

The promise

This is only the beginning.

Years from now, the Foundation should be able to look back at this chapter and recognise the moment when the first people decided to build something for those who would follow.

The future starts with the people prepared to begin it.
