The Founders’ Wall

A proposed permanent physical record of the people and organisations present at the beginning.

The physical Founders’ Wall remains a development concept. The live Digital Wall provides the permanent online record now.

Designed to last.

The proposed Founders’ Wall would create a permanent place within the Warwickshire Valkyries development to recognise the organisations and individuals who formed the Founding 100.

A landmark within Valkyries House

Rather than treating founder recognition as temporary signage, the concept is intended to become part of the architecture and visitor experience. Its final location, materials and design will depend on the detailed building proposal.

Designed for longevity

A permanent installation needs to age well. Materials, lighting, accessibility, maintenance and the ability to preserve accurate names and identities should all influence the design.

Connecting physical and digital stories

The physical wall can work alongside the online Founding 100 directory. Digital profiles provide room for stories, websites and social links that cannot sensibly fit into an architectural installation.

Part of a wider legacy programme

The Founders’ Wall sits alongside the proposed Founders’ Book and time capsule. Together, these elements can preserve different aspects of the Foundation’s first chapter.

Current status

The Founders’ Wall is a development concept rather than a completed installation. Final design and delivery will depend on the progress of Valkyries House and the wider project.
