The proposed Founders’ Book will tell the story of the people and organisations that supported Warwickshire Valkyries Foundation at the beginning.
A record with more depth
Where the Founders’ Wall provides permanent visual recognition, the book can preserve the reasons, stories and personalities behind those names. It can document why Founders became involved and what they hoped the Foundation would become.
Digital and physical possibilities
The final format may combine a high-quality physical publication with a digital experience. A digital version can remain discoverable and accessible, while a physical edition can become part of the Foundation’s archive.
Capturing stories early
Institutional history is easiest to preserve while the people involved can still tell it. Founder interviews, photographs and approved statements can therefore be gathered during the founding period rather than reconstructed years later.
Editorial standards
All material should be approved for publication, appropriately credited and retained with suitable permissions. The Foundation should also distinguish editorial history from current commercial endorsements.
A resource for the future
As the organisation grows, the Founders’ Book can help participants, staff and visitors understand that the project began with a community of people willing to support an idea before the finished destination existed.
